The Toronto Argonauts came out on top to take home the 105th Grey Cup over the weekend. Who cares right? Well a certain former NFL Head Coach made the trip north and went back to where he dominated. Marc Trestman, in his first season as the Head Coach for the Argonauts, has raised the coveted Grey Cup yet again (his 3rd of his career).
We all remember Trestman as going through the coaching carousel in the world of the NFL and finally landed his first head coaching job in the Windy City of Chicago. What a shitstorm. He was known as a “quarterback whisperer” and an “offensive guru” and did NOTHING in Chicago.
Just look at these league rankings for his offenses in Chicago:
Nothing but 20s and 30s. THIRTIES. That is awful. Only four teams in the league gained less yards than the squad led by the guru from the North. Marc, you are not missed.
Congrats on the Grey Cup win though, man. Go crush it North of the border.
PS: I don’t miss Marc, but goddamn it I miss Chloe Trestman.
