The Cubs Are a “Possible Exception” For Japanese Phenom Shohei Ohtani

This would be awesome.  For those of you who don’t know, Shohei Ohtani is a Japanese baseball player that is taking the MLB offseason by storm.  Over in Japan, he was the Ace of his staff on the mound and also batted .300 at the plate.  Just look at these numbers:

Those are some solid ass numbers.  Yeah, I get it.  They don’t blow your socks off.  But this guy can give you so much depth at multiple spots on your roster.  That is huge.  The Cubs could get a guy at the 6 hole in the lineup and save the top guys in the rotation innings on their arm.  From what I’ve read, he isn’t the type of player that would carry a team to a World Series run, but he is exactly what a team needs to win a Game 3 or 4 in the World Series, which the Dodgers could’ve really used this year.
