The Jacksonville Jaguars Have Clinched a Playoff Spot for the First Time Since 2007

Holy frickin cow.  The Jags are Jaggin’ Off to the NFL Playoffs.  This is cool stuff.  Whenever my teams aren’t in playoff contention, I will always root for the teams that have no business being up there in the standings, and this year it is the Jacksonville Jaguars.

At 10-4, the Jags are for real.  Their defense is probably the best in the NFL with young players like Jalen Ramsey, Dante Fowler Jr., and Myles Jack playing like veterans.  But then, their actual veterans like Paul Posluszny, Marcell Dareus and Calais Campbell are running around like mad men and kicking everyone’s ass.  This is the kind of defense that can play anywhere and win in places like Pittsburgh and New England.  And now, Blake Bortles is starting to play like a quarterback of a team that makes a deep run.  Yesterday, he went 21-29, for 326 and 3 TD (No INTs) without his #1, #2, #3 receivers AND Fournette.  That’s literally their entire offense.  Blake is hot, on and off the field.

So it’s been about 10 years since Jacksonville was in the playoffs.  I was in 6th grade in 2007… A lot of things have happened in the last 10 years.  I came across this tweet to prove that things happen in a span of 10 years.

Good stuff, huh?  Go Jags.  Let’s finish strong and get that 1st round bye.

PS:  This tweet actually blew my mind and I can’t imagine being a Browns fan…
